Temporary Car Shelters for Sale

by Jonathan Pagano

For protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays and other elements, look for temporary car shelters for sale. They are available from online retailers who specialize in portable structures.  Many home improvement centers also sell these structures, though size and shape options may be more limited.  They also vary greatly in price, depending on size and quality.

Such a car shelter is portable and offers an extremely low cost solution, where permanent structures are unavailable or too small. These portable car shelters come in a variety of sizes and shapes that can accommodate both vehicle and available space. Some are easier to assemble than others, though most typically require only basic tools to put together and take apart.

The typical temporary car shelter for sale consists of a galvanized steel frame, with a polyethylene cover. Covers can vary in color and this may also depend upon whether the structure is meant for simple storage or for UV protection.  The covers are usually made of several layers and usually include a system for tying or securing them to the ground.  Some retailers also offer these structures with anti-fungal agents and with fade resistant materials.  It is best to determine the size and shape of the desired structure, before searching for an appropriate product that will meet your needs. You must also consider the location of the structure, to determine if there are any potential overhead obstacles, such as utility wires or overhead security lights.

The style of the structure may also depend upon the style of your home or business, for a more unified look. Various styles include barn, house and round and peak. The peak style is typically reserved for the larger size structures. Sizes of these structures generally begin at 12′ high by 20′ long by 8′ wide, available in various shapes.

When shopping for a temporary car shelters for sale today, make sure you consider the various available anchoring systems.  The mounting foot type can be anchored to wood or concrete.  The duckbill type anchor is used for mounting or securing car shelters directly to the ground.  Other accessories include vent kits, roll up door kits and repair tape. Because some styles and covers are designed for use as temporary greenhouses, they can serve a dual purpose, if temporary storage is needed for short periods of time, such as during the winter months. Covers for this type of structure can be changed with the purpose.  For strictly sun protection, the all metal carport is another great option when it comes to having a portable car shelter.  The all metal components are a little more difficult to transport but definitely possible if a need should arise.
