Temporary Car Shelter

by Jonathan Pagano

A temporary car shelter is a great thing to have if you don’t have a garage or carport. Garages can be expensive to build and take up a lot more space than is necessary. Carports are also fairly expensive to build and maintain. Even some homes that already have garages also have a temporary shelter on hand in case any more cars show up.

A car can easily be ruined when exposed to harsh weather. Constant exposure to sun can cause the paint of a car to fade and if it’s sitting in rain parts of the car may rust. When a car isn’t properly sheltered it will also get dirty faster and is more prone to getting scratched. A simple temporary car shelter design can easily remedy these problems and many more.

Car shelters are also extremely portable and they can be taken apart and packed compactly without much effort. This makes them a great thing to take with you on the road to protect your car. A shelter with a tent like structure can easily be rolled up and stored in the trunk of the vehicle for later use.

Temporary car shelters can come in a variety of different shapes and sizes, while some are very short and can only fit a small car while others can fit huge trailer rigs. If you only have one car then you’ll probably be fine with a single shelter, there are also shelters made for multiple cars although these are more bulky to assemble, you’ll also need a larger place to store them.

Shapes may vary with temporary car shelter designs as well, many have dome or pyramid shaped roofs to prevent rain from collecting on the top. Many shelters are open-air shelters that have one side of the car shelter always open. There are also completely closed shelters as well, most of the time there will be a zipper to close the front side and then it can be rolled up so the car can drive in and out.

A temporary car shelter can fit other things besides just a car as they can be used to shelter boats, ATV’s, motorbikes, and other vehicles as well. The simplest way to buy a temporary shelter is to find a prefabricated kit that has all the parts already made. In the kit there should also be a manual with instructions on how to assemble and disassemble the shelter. The kit may also come with a warranty.
